A Little Words About Us
Kidwe Lab is a
Robotics Lab
for Kiwi Kids
Kidwe lab works in STEM education, that offers creative lessons for kids from 6-18. We take a student-centered approach to teaching and learning and our focus is on discovery learning. We guide the learners through the concept rather than tell them how to do it. This means that they learn how to look for solutions to problems on their own and learn from their own experiences. We use Lego Mindstorm or VEX to do the building. After the building phase, kids need to write the coding to make their robots work. We believe creativity and problem-solving can be inspired by fun activities

Our Founder~
Samuel Yang
Kidwe Lab was established in 2019. Everything started because a father (Dr. Yang) wanted to help and develop his daughter’s engineering thinking. He knew that they really loved playing with LEGO, and so he decided to use Lego Mindstorms to teach them physics and coding. In each project they learned how to observe carefully and apply their knowledge to investigate the result. This help them to develop the ideas to improve their creations. They enjoyed the process so much that it wasn’t long before they began inviting their friends to play LEGO with them. Dr. Yang began tutoring a small group of children using his creative teaching methods. He condensed and simplified his many years of automotive design engineering experience and established a robot design process suitable for children.
His daughters and their friends set up a team, Team Kidwe Lab, which won the championship of several competitions. His daughter was later interviewed by Seven Sharp and Breakfast TV. After that, they felt confident and skilled enough to teach other kids. Now, many kids enjoy coding and problem-solving through playing Lego and he has received lots of great feedback about his courses.
